Not that I get on Facebook more than once every 4 months, but I got /getmoneyho. Kind of amazing since I waited like a week after the custom name thing started.
Also, yesterday I went to Seattle, picked up Stef from work, she cooked me dinner, and gave me a back rub while we watched a Suicide Girls DVD. Pretty good day imho. :]
Why do I keep waiting up feeling sick?

Returned my 9800GT to Fry's because the fan was clipping the shroud, making an annoying buzzing/clicking noise. I decided to get the 1GB version rather than another 512MB since it was only a $30 difference. When it rang up, though, it was only $10 more. $10 for double the graphics memory makes me a pretty happy dude. :)
Also Stef asked if I would put some purple lights in my old system that I'm giving her. They didn't have purple, but they had blue, which went with the blue LEDs in the front case can. Shit looks hot now. Or cold, actually.
I'm waiting for my chicken pot pie to cool. It was fucking boiling on the inside when I took it out. o.O;

I need to start using this again. I've been kind of using twitter lately (twitter.com/freqdg) so add me, I add you, etc etc.
Also, peep this desktop that I built yesterday. It actually worked first try (well, I forgot to put in my Win7 DVD the first time, so second).

I'm running Windows 7 RC x64 and shit is flying. Win+Tab actually moves smoother. Portal is running with all settings on high at 1600x1200, x4 AA, x4 anisotropic filtering, and it's running with 0 hick-ups. Tonight I'm installing HL2 and running the tests on there to see how well it does.

So for those of you not in the know I'm in Biloxi, MS, just down the road from Keesler AFB. I drove down here with Becky so her and Jeff could move into their new apartment.
The drive through WA and OR was pretty much uneventful, and CA was pitch black almost the whole way. I drove from a bit north of Sacramento down to LA, which is when my new-found car sickness started playing jokes on me.
From there we went through AZ, NM, then fucking stupid no good Texas. I got pulled over in the middle of the night because the Volvo had a tail light out. Normally that's a "well it's 2am and nowhere is open to get that fixed for 200 miles (that's not a joke, BTW) so just a warning; get it taken care of." Nope. The sherrif of Asshat County wrote me a $147 citation. WTF R U SRIUS?

More Linux ranting, yay!
So I blew up my WinXP partition because, well, Windows didn't really work with the laptop's hardware. So now Linux is running on the full 30gigs. Also, I killed SuSE 10.1 in favor of Ubuntu. But as I was looking for the Ubuntu 6.x ISO I found Xubuntu, which is Ubuntu with Xfce as its window manager. Since this is for my lappy I figured it would be a bit faster than Gnome or KDE. So I load it up and everything works. Perfect. First try. Only issue was that, from what I saw, you can't browse folders outside of the command line. :( So I installed the Gnome packages and now Gnome is running perfect.
Holy shit do I love Ubuntu.
Okay, real life.
Last night Jake and Deb came home and we went shopping. Bed Bath & Beyond for bathroom stuff, WinCo for food, and Safeway for... other food? As we were loading the then empty fridge we decided to clean it. That turned into cleaning the fridge, dishes, counters, oven, floor, downstairs bathroom, cat box, taking out the garbage and recycling, and trying to remove this stain off the laundry room floor. WTF. We were cleaning until 1 in the morning. :X
The landlords are over taking a look at the sockets in the bathroom since they don't work and all the power in my room comes from an extension cord coming out of the bathroom. Now comes breakfast.
Later I'm running to Bonney Lake to get my cell charger (what a waste of gas!), then picking up Monika sometime.
I was going to take pictures of stuff and post them, but the batteries in my camera were dead. Now they're charged, I just need to take the pictures and edit them.
